Local film festivals & audience development grants
Applications are currently being accepted for events taking place between July 2010 and March 2011
This scheme is intended to assist film festivals, cinemas, film clubs, community groups, and other bodies seeking to present a public film festival or similar unique events or audience development activities. Tours of film festival programmes to rural and remote areas may also be eligible for support.
Grants are available to support local film festivals and audience development activities up to a maximum of £5,000 per organisation in any one year. The total fund for 2010-11 is £42,500.
Applications can be submitted at any time but will be assessed approximately every three months.

Festivals, Tours and Events funded in 2009
Festivals and events supported in 2009 included The Southwell Collective's acclaimed Highlands & Islands tour of silent films accompanied by live music, Shetland Film Festival Screenplay 09, Africa in Motion on Tour, Heartland Film Festival (Aberfeldy), the Cromarty Film Festival, and development funding for a silent film festival based at the Hippodrome in Bo'ness.
